Numerical analysis using the Finite Element Method has been used to simulate behavior of the micropile retaining walls. Shell elements approximate really well the micropile retaining wall behavior. From these results it can be deduced that the moment transmitted from the connection beam to the smaller retaining walls partly counterbalances the thrust exerted by the ground.
